History: Sophie was the only child of a Imperial Lieutenant and his wife, she grew up a tomboy and a daddy's girl. It often upset her mother that she wasn't more ladylike, but she didn't seem to care, she caught snakes, frogs, and other such things, she climbed trees, she got in fights with the boys in the neighborhood and went fishing with her dad. When she was old enough she joined the military and managed to prove her worth quite quickly, though not without difficulty. She gained the rank of Lieutenant within a few years and became known among her subordinates and superiors for being very reliable. She worked as a subordinate of Karl Shubaltz for the duration of her stay in the army and came to respect him greatly and became good friends with Thomas later on, she had a bit of a crush on Thomas but she'd never admit it willingly. After she lost her first zoid, a Redler, and the war ended she quit the army and became a researcher, swearing off piloting indefinitely. Eventually she came to work closely with the Guardian Force through her connection to Thomas. During one battle (after the series end) Thomas was being overwhelmed and Sophie stole an experimental zoid, the Wardog, and went to his rescue. She would have been overwhelmed too if Van hadn't shown up and rescued them both. Sophie got a severe scolding from her superior, her father, and a lecture from Thomas, but she didn't regret her actions and having already developed a deep bond with the Wardog during it's creation, piloting the zoid only strengthened that. Eventually her superiors did begin to realize that she would be the only person capable of handling that particular zoid and the zoid was given to her.
Personality: Sophie is tough and bold, often reckless, but only when her friends are in danger. She is known to be extremely reliable and steadfast (Thomas calls her stubborn). Since she became a researcher and a scientist she's become known for standing up to her superiors on several occasions when she knew they were wrong. This attitude often gets her in trouble, but her intelligence and dedication makes her nearly invaluable.
Notes: She is known for assisting in the designing of several weapons and the Wardog. She has worked closely with Doctor D since becoming a Researcher.
